What is Algeco Building Systems

Building systems are based on a steel supporting structure with a concrete floor, in which the facade is placed as a prefab timber frame element. With the exception of a few supporting structures, almost the entire floor area can be flexibly arranged. In practice, this means that the entire building could be continuously rearranged. In addition, almost all inner and outer facades can be removed without structural intervention.

Advantages of modular system construction

  • Flexibility in its broadest form; choice of materials, lifespan and need, design, expansion or contraction of the building. Even though the building is already standing, there are still possibilities to expand or shrink the building

  • Fast construction time; due to prefab preparations, the construction time is considerably shorter than with traditional construction. The construction time is also not weather dependent, a handy advantage in the Netherlands. With us the hulls are often within 10-12 weeks

  • System construction protects the environment. Prefabrication in the factory and a well-organized logistics movement ensure little construction waste and less construction traffic. The mounting system enables reuse of building materials. Resulting in a fixed value of the building

  • System construction causes little nuisance on the construction site and can be realized anywhere. System construction can offer a solution for construction sites that are difficult to reach, where there is also little space for building materials. System builders prefer to bring their material with them immediately when it is used
